Full-Stack Engineer, Part-Time AI Code Evaluation - Remote (United States)
OpenTrain AI• $50–$100 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Under 20 hours a week, you choose when
Put your full-stack engineering skills to work on AI coding systems, on your own schedule, and get paid for judgment you already use every day.
AI training work is the human side of building AI systems: experienced people create examples, test how a model behaves and review what it produces, so the system becomes more accurate and useful. AI systems that write software need engineers who can set realistic tasks, write the solution a professional would deliver, and judge whether the AI's code is correct, complete, secure and maintainable. That specialist judgment cannot come from anyone else.
What you'll do
• Create, solve and review full-stack software-engineering tasks, from user-facing features to APIs, services and data models
• Follow requests and data through browsers, APIs, services, databases and outside integrations to see whether an implementation really works
• Diagnose problems with application state, API contracts, authentication, persistence, networking and deployment
• Evaluate code written by AI in several programming languages and explain how it should be improved
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid the equivalent of $50–$100 an hour for engineering judgment, alongside your current work
• Work on AI systems that write and review software, checking their code for correctness, security, performance and maintainability
• Build practical experience applying full-stack debugging and architecture judgment to AI code review and clear model feedback
• Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
Who this is for
• Strong professional experience building production full-stack applications, with hands-on front-end and back-end engineering
• Production experience with multiple programming languages
• Strong knowledge of databases, APIs, browser applications, application state and service integration
• Experience understanding and contributing to complete software-system architecture
• Ability to work effectively in unfamiliar codebases, and strong debugging and technical problem-solving skills
• Fluent English
• Helpful: Python, React, JavaScript, Java, Node.js, Rust, Go and TypeScript; experience reviewing AI-generated code for security, performance and maintainability
• No AI training experience needed. You bring the engineering expertise; the work provides structured code-evaluation tasks and clear review criteria.
Pay and details
• $50–$100 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
• Under 20 hours a week, you choose when; fully remote, United States
