Product Security Engineer, AI-native Security (Remote, Full-time) — Micro1 via AI Gig Scout

micro1 is hiring a Product Security Engineer, full-time and remote, to help define AI-native security engineering at the intersection of application security, machine learning and developer productivity. The listed national base salary range is $180,000–$230,000, plus equity eligibility and benefits.

What you will do: architect AI-powered security systems that identify, triage and remediate vulnerabilities across applications, infrastructure and AI workloads; develop agentic security workflows using LLMs for code review, threat detection, root-cause analysis and automated fixes; integrate intelligent security controls and AI guardrails into CI/CD pipelines; lead threat modeling for distributed systems, RAG architectures, model-serving infrastructure, data pipelines and agents; design defenses against prompt injection, model abuse, data poisoning and data leakage; and build behavioral detection and risk engines for fraud and account takeover in onboarding and KYC workflows.

What they are looking for: experience building AI/LLM-powered security solutions; deep AppSec, Product Security or Security Engineering expertise with a strong software background; enterprise security tooling (Snyk, Checkmarx, GitHub Advanced Security, Semgrep, Wiz, Lacework) integrated into automated workflows; cloud-native, API and microservice security architecture; OWASP Top 10 and OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications; advanced Python plus Go, Java, Rust or Node.js; and 8+ years across application security, software engineering or infrastructure security.
