Senior Software Engineer, Open Source (Remote, Contract, AI lab project) — Mercor via AI Gig Scout

Mercor is hiring Senior Software Engineers to work on a project with a leading AI research lab, applying their open-source engineering experience to real software engineering work. This is a remote contractor role paying $120/hr.

You're a good fit if you work as a Senior, Staff or Principal Software Engineer (or an equivalent senior individual contributor); actively contribute to open-source projects, with merged pull requests or commits in the last 6 months; and maintain or contribute to projects with real adoption, such as 100+ GitHub stars or clear package usage.
