C++ Team Lead / QA Lead (Remote, Contract, AI training) — SME Careers via AI Gig Scout

SME Careers, a fast-growing AI data services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate that delivers training data for many of the world's largest AI companies and foundation-model labs, is looking for a C++ Quality Assurance Lead. This is an hourly, remote contractor role at $75/hr, open to applicants in the United States. There is no immediate project for this role; qualified experts will be among the first contacted when relevant projects arise.

You will oversee quality, consistency and trainer performance across C++ AI training projects: spot-check items and give feedback, review AI-generated C++ code, debugging responses and tests, answer questions on memory safety, templates, STL, concurrency and rubrics, keep contributors updated on Discord, run onboarding calls, and maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers and calibration tasks.

Requirements: a degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience); 3+ years of professional C++ development, systems, performance, embedded, backend, code review or QA experience; strong modern C++ knowledge (RAII, smart pointers, templates, move semantics, concurrency, memory management, build systems); the ability to catch undefined behavior, memory leaks, race conditions and non-compilable code; strong English. Preferred: CMake, GCC/Clang/MSVC, sanitizers, Valgrind, GoogleTest, CI/CD and experience leading remote teams. Selection involves an AI interview, a domain task and a recruiter interview.
