Software Developer Expert

AfterQuery has a remote, project-based contract role for software engineers with 1–3 years of professional experience, paying $75/hr. You will complete tasks spanning software development, debugging, code review and technical implementation across a variety of stacks and applications. Work runs over the next 2–3 weeks, asynchronous and assigned project by project, with an expected 10–20 hours per week.You will design, implement and ship clean, well-tested code across a variety of projects and technology stacks; debug, refactor and optimize existing codebases; take part in code reviews; collaborate asynchronously on technical specifications, architecture decisions and implementation plans; and document code, APIs and technical approaches clearly.Requirements: 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience; strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and its ecosystem; ability to independently scope, implement and deliver features or fixes; solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and system design; a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
