SQL Engineer, AI Training Expert Network (Remote, Contract) — SME Careers via AI Gig Scout

SME Careers, an AI data services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate that provides AI training data to large AI companies and foundation model labs, is recruiting SQL Engineers for fully remote, hourly paid contract work listed at $50/hr. Open to candidates in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Cambodia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines, the United States, Timor-Leste and Vietnam. You will review AI-generated SQL queries, database designs and data-processing logic; write high-quality reference solutions and step-by-step explanations for complex data problems; identify errors in methodology, query structure, indexing strategy or concepts; fact-check data-related claims; and rate and compare multiple AI responses on correctness, performance and reasoning quality.

Requirements: a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field; 7+ years of production SQL experience as a Database Engineer, SQL Developer, Data Engineer or similar; expert-level SQL (complex joins, window functions, aggregation, query plan analysis); database performance tuning, indexing and concurrency/locking troubleshooting; relational and data-warehouse modelling (star and snowflake schemas); ETL/ELT experience; comfort with version control and CI/CD for database changes; and minimum C1 English. Prior AI data training or evaluation work is a strong plus.
